Changes to the General Management team of Wilhelm Vogel GmbH

On January 1st 2015, Dipl.-Ing. Alexander Schuster has been appointed General Manager of Wilhelm Vogel GmbH Antriebstechnik. He is the successor of senior partner Alfred Uhlmann who has retired after more than 48 years service.

Alexander Schuster was Production Manager at KraussMaffei Kunststofftechnik's where he developed extensive lean production expertise in production and assembly focused on TPM (Total Productive Management). At Vogel, the gearbox specialists in Oberboihingen, he has responsibility for Purchasing and Production. Alexander Schuster, born in 1970, together with General Manager Dipl.-Ing. Volker Uhlmann, will dedicate their joint efforts to advancing the company. His knowledge of customised production will enable Alexander Schuster to manage the restructuring of work-in-progress in response to the ever-increasing call for product variance. He will also support the company's International Supply Chain Management mission.

The products made by Wilhelm Vogel GmbH Antriebstechnik, based in the industrial region around Stuttgart, include right-angle gearboxes such as spiral bevel gearboxes or bevel helical gearboxes as well as coaxial planetary gearboxes in a wide range of different sizes and versions. For almost 70 years, Wilhelm Vogel GmbH has been dedicated to the drive market and products with a maximum of quality awareness. Through its engineering strategy, the Swabian company takes an active part in forming the future of gearbox design, thus ensuring the future of its customers.
